Stay healthy on holiday – we have a small Fitness Room which features a cross trainer, bike and rowing machine. Put your favourite video in the TV and get sweating!
After your workout you may like to relax a while in our sauna. Use of the Fitness Room and Sauna and small heated plunge pool are free for all Chateau Tongariro guests to enjoy.
Cinema
Our in-house cinema seats 60 people and shows three popular recent-release movies every day - at 6.00pm, 8.00pm and at 10.00pm. The daily 6 o’clock showing is always a family movie that the kids are bound to love. The Chateau Cinema is free for all guests to enjoy.
Petanque/Boules
Boules are available also at our Ruapehu hotel’s reception for a relaxing game of Petanque. Our playing pitch is located in the gardens at Fergusson’s Café, the beautifully-restored historic building, just 50 metres from the main hotel.
Order yourself a delicious lunch, a nice cool drink and then aim for that Cochonnet!
